The Woodlands Martial Arts Academy
The Woodlands Martial Arts Academy was founded in 2023 by Sa Bom Nim Emily Bowman. For 13 years prior to that, it was known as Ince Karate, owned and operated by Sa Bom Nims William and Yennie Ince. Upon realizing that their family priorities had changed, William and Yennie Ince started a partnership with Emily Bowman to rebrand so their students could continue to have a place to train with an owner and instructor who has a true passion for Tang Soo Do.
Master Emily Bowman began training in 2005 alongside William Ince at The Karate School in Atascocita, TX under Masters Tripp and Jennifer Davis. After earning her first degree black belt in 2009, she began assisting with teaching classes at The Karate School. Throughout her high school and undergraduate college years, Master Emily Bowman continued training, achieving the ranks of second and third degree black belt.
The Woodlands Martial Arts Academy is part of the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan Association under Grand Master Charles Ferraro.
